AACo. An Australian Legacy

AACo. An Australian Legacy

Station life is different to most Jobs. It gives you the opportunity to forge memories and friendships that last a lifetime.

- Adrian Moseling

Established in 1824, AACo is Australia’s largest integrated cattle and beef producer and the oldest continuously operating company in Australia.

AACo’s story began with flocks of Merino sheep and a million acres of land extending across the Port Stephens region of NSW. Almost 80 years later during World War I, due to a labour shortage in wool production, AACo moved away from sheep to focus on cattle. This began the process of selling southern properties, and moving North to the places AACo calls home today. Now, AACo owns and operates Australia’s largest cattle herd with around 433,000 head spread over 6.5 million hectares of land across Queensland and the Northern Territory.

And there’s no plans of slowing down. AACo’s entire operations system is centred around innovating in order to drive a better world for future generations. As the company flourishes, so does the environment it relies on.

This commitment to sustainability ensures the betterment of Australia’s future and is more proof AACo will be producing the world’s finest beef for years to come. In 2024, AACo’s beef feeds more than a million people around the world, and 200 years on, this is only the beginning.
